I'm glad I got it to see it at the museum two years ago! :)

Well, I saw it running at a car show in July, so it is definitely moving again.

I'm pretty sure it was cadillac based. I'll have to check again.

I have so many pictures of the car. When I get the chance, I will scan them in and email them to you asap.

I also have some other stuff from that car. I have a personal letter that Pete DePaolo sent to my grandpa wishing him and his brother kenneth good luck, etc. I'm sure once we are ready to go through more of his things, the history will keep coming out. I plan to make a book in his name using the items he has. (profits of course going to charitable causes).

I'm glad I found this board. I'm sure I'll be learning a lot from all of you.

Like Stan said up above.... contact Laura and Matt at the ACD Museum, I'm sure they will be honored to meet you, as would anyone in the ACD Club as well.

Take care and hope to see you in Auburn!

As always... the town is getting ready. They've painted street curbs yellow, tore up some roads and hopefully they'll be done by Labor Day. especially since they tore up the road in front of my house and it's a newer street.

yes, those cars are totally unrelated.

But donating will be something I will talk to the family about. I am really trying hard to be able to come to the ACD Festival this year. I think I was in 3rd grade when I went last time. It's been a looooong time.

Sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing. I recall the late Duesenberg
project very well and the prototype car has been in the ACD Museum for many years. I seem to recall that it was offered for sale this past year?
Iknow Sam Swartz of New York was the long time owner. It was a beautiful car with custom coachwork.

Anyhow for my 2 cents worth, if you have anything related to the original Duesenberg Auto, at least copies should go to the ACD Museum. Original materials could be appraised for a tax deduction if you would be willing to donate anything. contact Laura Brinkman or Matt Short at the ACD Musuem.
If you attend the Auburn Event this year, ask for either one and introduce yourself, they will make you welcomed. Denny Duesenberg was one of the people who encouraged me to go into this business.

Please be sure to come to Auburn 2006! In fact, bring a truck and load it up....

JON BILL in the records department at the ACD Museum is invaluable at identifying historical notes and artifacts.

We look forward to seeing you often on the website and at ACD events.

First Post - Duesenberg Info was created by m
Hello everyone.

I was just looking up info on this years acd festival and came across this website. i'm happy i found this because you all seem like experts!

my grandpa's grandpa was henry duesenberg (oldest brother of augie and fred). my grandpa (harlan) and his brother ken were the duesenberg brothers who tried to revive the duesenberg in '79. i've read the reviews of the car, it was heavy haha, but that risk he took has always been my biggest motivation in life.

a few days ago my grandpa passed away. my family and i have been going through old pictures and memorabilia. i knew he had some duesenberg history in his house, but i didn't know he had this much! when you are a little kid and your grandpa is telling you all this duesenberg stuff, you really don't get it. i wish i did back then, but all i wanted to do was ride my bike haha.

i'm sure i will be here posting questions and maybe some stuff i think you all might enjoy. i also might try to make it to the acd festival this year, especially being the year of the duesenberg.

but, this is already long so i'll wrap it up. i'm glad i found a website with people who really know their stuff.
