Yo Chris, my records show the ex PaulWhiteman car to be J-427 2469
a Murphy townacar. now in a private collection. page 396 roe.
I show J381 2401 to be a Murphy towncar (1 of 4 on lwb)has been in Judge Fairchild collection Ft Worth, 99 in blackhawk collection, 01 for sale imperial palace. oct 05 no sale kruse hershey at 660K

Whiteman Town Car Numbers was created by Chris Summers
I have a book on the Imperial Palace cars that includes a Duesenberg Model J Murphy Town Car, all-original and originally owned by Paul Whiteman. Was it J-381 or another car? If it was another car, does anyone know the numbers? Thanks.
