Christie's at Pebble, 2001, consigned by Pat Ryan. I haven't seen photos of it in public since.

Wasn't this car sold at auction within the last 3 or 4 years? I'm thinking it was one of the Pebble Beach auctions. Sans fender skirts and painted mauve.

Thank you. I forgot to mention; what got me interested in this car is an elusive plastic kit of it. Bandai made a copy of the Monogram kit but added the newly-tooled Franay body. It's somewhat inaccurate as they engineered it to mate up with Monogram's fenders and running boards. This information is second-hand, as I've never seen the kit.

edit- How ironic that the spell check on this forum doesn't recognize the word "Duesenberg".

Lee,

Car 2385/J-365 was the Franay Berline with sunroof, and the second body by them on this chassis. My own personal database doesn't have it listed as a survivor, but I'm not perfect--maybe someone still owns it and there's a picture hiding on the web.
There's a photo in Josh Malks's Buyer's Guide but I have no way of putting it up here. Will keep looking and post something if I find it. Good luck on the models!

I'm trying to find a photo of a Franay-bodied Duesenberg. It's not the convertible sedan or the 2-seat roadster with mahogany on it. I have The Fred Roe and J.L. Elbert books, but they're 9,000 miles away. I won't be home for about a month. (I'm a soldier deployed to Afghanistan)

Intro:
I won't be buying a Duesenberg anytime soon, but I am a tremendous fan of the marque. I build models of them. I have all of Monogram's kits. A couple of them are box-stock. Others are modified to represent specific cars not offered in kit form. I have small machine tools for making better detail parts, like wire wheels. I also have a couple of Wingrove plan sets. I want to scratchbuild one in the future.
