I agree. I quickly read the initial posting and fired off a response. I then realized he has everything and he did't need the frame. Thanks,George

i must be missing the point. as mike indicates the car was orginally a willoughby limousine. i think the engine and frame are already matching, its just that the willoughby body was modified to a phaeton body. so how does putting your frame under the car help it become category #1. the only thing i could see is putting back a willoughby body. but then my feeling is that with the willoughby body the car would be worth alot less and it would take a whole bunch of money to executre this change and kinda ruin a car that is currently a first class looker.

the information you have supplied matches what is my understanding. i also understand the willoughby body was modified to a phaeton body in the 30's by a custom coachbuilder but not one of the big names.

with the modified phaeton body, is it still possible to show the car at an ACD meet or CCCA meet and garner full points. what about pebble beach? i wonder how much this modification might affect value in percentage terms assuming the work is all first class?

mike, thanks for the info. i really appreciate your help.
