Today we traveled 120 scenic miles. We drove to historic downtown South Pittsburg, TN where they shut down four blocks for our tour automobiles. The town welcomed us by opening their stores early, having donuts, coffee and water for us, putting up welcome signs over their street and on their newly restored theater, and being very friendly and hospitable.
We continued to a BBQ lunch at DuBose Center. After lunch we traveled through the scenic and historic Sewanee, TN where the University of the South is located. There were some beautiful buildings and picturesque chapel. We continued to a private estate and viewed a building full of serious Christmas decorations. Upon our return to Chattanooga we had the band play for us in the hospitality room. We took a group photo of the ACD cars on tour. It was another great day.

Today was the final day of the Glidden tour. We had a short but scenic tour to Cleveland, TN. There we had a car show, ice cream social , and lunch. After lunch was a fabulous program. Jeff Mahl, great grandson of George Schuster, the driver of the Thomas Flyer that participated in the 1908 Great Race and the three early Glidden tours treated us to a performance.

Tonight is the final banquet.

The pictures were taken on the way back home. I forgot to take pictures until we left for the return trip?.

We were a little concerned that we didn?t have anything worthy of a picture until we spotted the tobacco being harvested in northern Kentucy and southern Indiana. We stopped and talked to one of the men working in one of the fields. He was hand harvesting the individual stakes of tobacco. There is a picture of one of the workers in the field, a barn full of tobacco drying, a picture of a couple men in the tobacco field harvesting, and an empty barn. There is also a picture of the bridge we crossed into Indiana.
