Mike and Joan, I am thinking that there are those Cord owners who were doubtful, who will now be convinced to join the Cord Convoy. You are both an inspiration.

We will all be looking forward to your recap.

See you soon in Indiana.

The experience was PRICELESS! All of you Cord owners have the opportunity to go on the Cord Convoy! Do it....No excuses! It is a lifetime memory. You will only be sorry, if you do not go.

Hello,

I just have read you travel diary with great pleasure!

These sentences from another travel diary came to my mind:

"All of us have hopes of being, artist, discoverer, philosopher, scientist; of possessing the attributes of all these simultaneously. Few are permitted to achieve any one of them in daily life.
But in travel we attain them all. Then we have our day of glory, when all our dreams come true, when we can be anything we like, as long as we like, and, when we're tired of it, pull up stakes and move on.
Travel-the solitude of the mountains, the emptiness of the dessert, the delicacy of a minaret; eternal change, limitless contrast, unending variety."

It's taken from the (1937) Travel-book "ON MAN CARAVAN" by Robert Edison Fulton Jr.
R.E. Fulton traveled around the world (maybe as the first one) on a motorcycle in 1932 and wrote that book about that adventure.

It is a great book about travelling and people at a complete different time, in a complete different world!

Cheers

Matt

Thank you Both for sharing your wonderful trip of a Lifetime, with us. (especially all the photos!) I followed the postings almost every day, during the trip, and enjoyed it, immensely. :D

This revival of the thread today, gave me a chance to notice that your average gas price was $3.86 per gallon.

This is fascinating to compare to all the current TV and print news (Seemingly inferring that economic Doom/collapse, and end of the World is near) Because Gas prices have recently 'surged' three cents, up to $3.61 per gallon! a year later..
