The wood would have made nice firewood for the winter.

It was interesting that it cost me $140. to get rid of the wood at the land fill and I got $130. for the steel and copper at the scrap dealer. That's usually the way I make money!

Mike, did that Oakland engine just bolt right up tp the L-29 bell housing and/or front-drive unit? Was there an adaper plate involved? How was it accomplished?

This project is way more work than expected. The trailer was well built with a few surprises. The was a newspaper and an invoice enclosed in the frame. Also the builder signed his work. It is very well built. There are square headed nuts and bolts with angle iron braces at each joint.

Food truck.
Now I cannot propose putting this on something as obscure as an L29 chassis,maybe something 'crazy' like a F350 frame(?)

It is being disassembled currently. Very interesting, well constructed out of masonite and metal. Mike will post pictures as he goes. If it was drivable it might be worth fixing, but there is literally no room for the driver to sit and no desire to save that portion of the purchase. The builder spent a lot of time putting this together.

Congratulations...I think <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->
I suspect this piece is getting the best home it could hope for, regardless of the outcome.
The very best of luck with it.

This has some L-29 stuff under it, but don't I recall that it had a SIX cylinder engine?
Well, Mike, now you have a better place than the doghouse when you're in trouble!
