Looking for an L-29's History was created by AKcarmuseum
I'm looking for some history on our museum's 1931 Cord L-29 cabriolet (#2929409). It was previously owned by Gary Littrell (AZ), who had it on display at the Volo Museum for many years. Beyond that, I have been unable to find out any more of its history.

It's a spectacular car--it's only been driven 14,000 miles--and still has its original upholstery and top. It looks identical to the Cord pictured on page 56 of "Automobile Quarterly's Word of Cars" book (1971), which notes the owner as Michael Bobek. That photo was taken in Auburn, IN. Do any of you remember our Cord? I have checked with the ACD Museum, Don Vorderman (who photographed the L-29 in the AQ book), Paul Bryant and Jim O'Brien, but they did not know its history. Paul did recall examining it for certification in Las Vegas years ago.

Hopefully this link to a photo of the car works: yfrog.com/eqmm5rj
