Curtis,

Can tell you what kind of gas tank you have but there is no difference between the gas tanks that are in open or closed 810/12 Cords.

CORDially,

Al Hatch

I was recently given a gas tank by the same fellow I bought my 37' from. He swears it is a Cord gas tank. The tank in my 37' is roughly the same width as the frame, and when viewed from the end, rectangular with rounded corners. The tank given me is kind of jelly bean shaped and would have to fit in the trunk area on the extreme right hand side, judging from the filler neck, and the drain plug. This tank is sort of palm beach tan in color with horse hair pads glued to it in places. Do open cords have different tanks than closed cars? Should I set this tank out with the trash on monday morning?

"I've cut it twice and it's still too short."
