Your welcome for this shared information. As I posted.. I got it from two very well respected members who owned, operated and repaired these great cars. But sadly they have both passed on.. But their legacy lives on in what they have taught us. Information shared will always live on but information that we take to the grave dies with us. I can only hope to know a small portion of what Tom and George knew about these cars we all love so much.

Finally had time to research this torque numbers.
Rods are 35 to 40 ft lbs
Mains are 90 ft lbs
Heada are 55 ft lbs.
These numbers came from Tom Georgeson a few years ago. And before that Henry Portz confirmed this. If this information is suspect please verify it by calling Stan Gilliand of Cord Parts in Wellington Kansas USA...

The original bearings are poured babbitt. The babbitt are poured on a backing, (not poured in place). The bearings must be installed and then align bored in place to the final size. If I remember right the torque for the main bearing caps is 55 ft-lbs, I'll check my notes.

Originally our rods and main bearings were poured Babbitt but.. Yours could be modified to use insert bearings like any modern engine. I don't have the torque specification you asked for but will look for it if nobody helps you.

With the crankshaft bearing cap covers , in tightening them , to what level should they be tightened .
With the bearings themselves are they a poured or 'babbit' style . ? Are they available for purchase .
Any help at all would be appreciated before I get into this area . Thanks in advance to responders .
