Did you notice the two piece hub-caps, the Cord emblems on the Sunvisors. I made a list of the variations from mine, but I'll have to look for it. I wondered why it was different! I thought I was told that it was on lone from an American? Ric.

It would seem that two Cord Sportsman coupe's have returned to America from South Africa over the past 10 or so years. Does anyone know these cars or perhaps their chassis numbers.

According to the Cord guys here there were at least 17 imported to South Africa. I know one was exported to England and was in the Beaulieu Motor Museum. I forgot to mention a maroon Westchester resident at a motor museum in Bloemfontein. Most of the others were destroyed one way or another.
I have a couple of photos of the cars that I have seen. Not sure if anyone wants to see them, and if so how and where I post them.

Do you know of a 1937 812 Sedan in Harare,Zimbabwe?
It is owned by Michael Gill of Kalahari Motors.
I last heard of the car in 2000.

Does anyone have any info or photographs of Cord Motor Cars in Africa. I am researching the cars that were owned there and have to date around 6 cars listed. There were apparently two Cords in Rhodesia, and then there was an Auburn that was fitted with a Cord front end. The Auburn was restored in the 80s and I believe the front end went to America - Anyone know more on this?
Thank you in advance
