Thank you all for the great feedback, now I can wrap up this portion of the project.
The original unit is so rust damaged that it may not be rebuildable, but I plan to research that out.
I was also able to locate replacement units here locally, but was unsure of the proper ohm range, so now that I know that I can order one and use it until the original can be rebuilt.
Thanks again,
Kevin

I had a ACD member in CA repair my unit. You can contact Jack Marcheski at 831-637-3453,. With a new brass float it was around $60.

Kevin-
J.C. Whitney sells one in their catalog - it is a universal unit which adjusts for different depths of tanks, and I was able to adapt it easily to my Cord tank. It fits the opening correctly with the same bolt pattern, and it the proper resistance for gauge operation. If you can't find it in the catalog, let me know.

Hello again,
I am trying to either locate a reproduction fuel gauge sending unit, or determine the correct ohm range so I can use generic unit and modify it to work in the place of the original.
Any information is appreciated.
