This car was built in the early sixties app. 1963 by Herb French a contractor in Northboro Massachusetts. He and my father Harry King were great friends. I remember the car very well...

Jaguar powered Auburn? was created by Mike Dube
I recently heard a tale about an otherwise original '32 Auburn cabriolet with an XK Jaguar engine. The story went that the Auburn transmission and rearend was retained. It was a runner and in fair shape with a ratty top. The then owner went thru the trouble of acquiring a GU Lycoming to restore it, but then for whatever reasons, didn't. It passed on to someone in the Chicago area. The time frame is sixties to very early seventies. I'm inclined for a few reasons to think it is a true story.
Anybody know anything about this car?
