No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to get the spinners off of my 8-98 wire wheels. Someone in the past must have put them on without any grease and they are really stuck. It seems to me that at some time in the past I saw a tool, almost wrench like that fit over the spinner to allow for some leverage when removing them. Does anyone have any idea if such a tool is available? Also, any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete

This is the tool. beware of cheap repos. There was one on eBay a few days ago as a BIN. I passed on it. I am looking for one as well.
If you decide to make them, I'll buy one from you.

the first series hub cap wrenches are flat with a clip with a plate and wing nuts to hold the wrench to the spinner. The photo is of a wrench issued some time in 1932 and runs through 1933 .Yes the threads should be greased as is the wheel seat on the hubs.R
