Still looking for Air Cleaner

If I've done this correctly, this message should have a photo of the air cleaner on Bob Esten's very original 8-98 sedan. Note numbers stamped on the housing, looks like "88".

It is an odd thing. Because the air intake on the Scheb. carb is so close to the steering column, the air cleaner imposes a sharp bend in the incoming air flow, not desired. But no air cleaner is not desired, either, both to keep things out of the carb and because the cleaner serves as a flame arrestor (at least in the old way of looking at it, maybe not a consideration any more? I don't know).

I need one too, if anyone knows a source. Jack Triplett (8-98A speedster)

Sorry, no jack and handle. The pix is of a friends collection. He has done research and has found them over the years. If some one knows for sure, I hope they would post here. Fall Hershey is coming up soon.
Attached are pix of an original jack and tool bag that came with a very original low mileage 35 Auburn of which I am the 3rd owner. Many items were carried forward from 31 to the end in 1936. We do stock the tool bag.

Hi Curt,

I know it didn't come with an air cleaner but I want to put one on it. The 90-155 in the attachment will work for me. In Florida we have sand so I want some type for filtration.
Do you sell a correct jack and handle?

Thanks,
Richard

If you have a 898 and a Schebler TX carb there is no air cleaner.

Still looking for Air Cleaner was created by Rlamb10769
I am still looking for an Air Cleaner for a late 31 or early 32 Auburn. (see attached)
If anyone goes to Hersey next month and sees one get the vendors info and let me know.
I would sure appreciate it.
Does anyone know what jack came with a 31?

Thanks,
Richard
