Kirk,
What glue did you use to install the new ones, any suggestions on installation process?

Thanks,
Curt

Hi Curt, The first time i used a two part epoxy that Rand Broadstreet supplied with the mats. the second time [on a different car] I used contact cement. Buy fresh from local hardware store. also make sure you take sandpaper and scuff the underside of the rubber mat.

The stainless steel strips can be had from Northfield Forming in Ohio. Yes, for best results remove the running boards.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

OK, my new covers arrived and they are much different than what is currently installed. My current covers do not wrap over the outer edge and there is a small space of metal showing where the running board meets the front and rear fender.

It looks like you need to remove the running board to install new covers, is that how you all did it?

I also have to track down the stainless strips that go on the outer edge over the rubber.

Running Board Rubber??? was created by curtiss
It looks like some of the rubber on my running boards has shrunk a little. I thought about finding a quality rubber and cutting new strips but not sure the best material to purchase.

Any suggestions on the best place or type of rubber to purchase?
