Chrome or Nickel was created by IndycarBruce
I have a 1929 Auburn. Today I received a copy of "The Accelerator" from the ACD Museum. The cover story is on the 1930 Auburn. The article says, "The 1930 line was essentially a carry-over of the 1929 models, with some refinements including chrome-plated trim and a vibration-reducing radiator mounting."
I knew the 1930 was a carry-over of the 1929, but I have a question about the chrome-plated trim comment. Does the 1930 have some additional chrome trim that wasn't on the 1929? Or is the article referring to a change from nickel plating to chrome plating?
I have never been clear on whether my 1929 has chrome or nickel plating, but when I get my trim re-plated, I want to go with whatever it had originally.
