Auburn offered trunks since 1927. The parts book lists the bumper and brackets. The accessory book lists the trunk rack, arms, and trunk.
Now to locate all of this stuff, try the ACD Club N/L want ads.

I recently purchased a 1931 Auburn 898-A and need some advice. I would like to put a trunk on the rack but understand that the Auburn Company never produced any such trunks for their autos. If so, could you give me some advice where I might buy a suitable trunk of the proper dimensions.
Also, I need new running boards -- or possibly new coverings for the running boards. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am a novice. MA
