I don't know the condition of your wood but you may be able to save some or all of it by using a product that they use for bad wood on boats. It is called Git-Rot. There other mfg. of similar products so you might find one of them locally. It is a two part liquid epoxy that fills in missing fibre and restores structural strength to wood. It can be sanded and painted. I have used this product on restoring my Westchester. I got mine from a local marine supply dealer.
Hope this helps you,
Good Luck, Tom Georgeson
