Thanks for the info. I used to have one. It was purchased from Harrah's in 1984 during their big liquidation auction.

The car was one of two that belonged to Harrah's kids. I sold it in in 2001. (Yes, I fixed the flat tire first! :D )

The electric Auburn in the earlier message is heading to the ACD museum later this year.

Bill,
I didn't know if you would be interested, but I picked up a copy of the Oct/Nov 2003 "Machinist's Workshop" magazine at the local Barnes and Noble Bookstore, and there is an article with very good pictures of an electric Bugatti, that looks like it is about the same scale as your car. Thought you might get some ideas if yours ever needs repair.

Auburn Electric Car - One-of-a-Kind? was created by Bill Hummel
This is my son, Garrett, in his Auburn Electric Indy Racing car. This car, to my knowledge is one of only seven that were built in 1930. It was built by the employees of the Auburn Automobile Company.

It passed down to me, and I have given it to Garrett.

This picture was taken in 1995. The original paint was an ugly beige with red stipes. Then we painted it dark blue wit white stipes. The current paint job and interior were done by Harrah's Automobile Collection in Reno, NV in the late 1960's. It is in excellent condition as it remains covered almost all of the time.

If you know of another one, please let me know!
