Auburn history was created by Josh Malks
On today's date, March 3, 1942, Auburn-Central Manufacturing Company, which once was the Central Manufacturing division of the Auburn Automobile Company in Connersville, Indiana, changed its name to American-Central. The Auburn Automobile Company made Auburns and 810/812 Cords here. The new company manufactured Jeep bodies and trailers and bomber parts.
