This speedster is a fiberglass body

I have seen a 1932 AUBURN 8-100 BOATTAIL SPEEDSTER for sale. I can't get much info from the seller. But chassis no is GU72708 and engine no. is also GU72708. Can anyone tell if this is a authentic speedster?

It has formerly been owned by a Mr Howard Baumgartner from Indiana - if this info could help answering my question!

Any help would be really appreciated.
